SELECTING MEASUREMENT OF BIKE SPEED OR BIKE CADENCE
Measurement of bike speed or bike cadence can be selected using a small micro-switch found inside the battery door, behind the battery. Use a pen to move the switch between “SPD” for speed measurement or “CAD” for cadence measurement.
MOUNTING THE BKM3 BIKE SPEED OR CADENCE MONITOR ON TO A BICYCLE FRAME
The BKM3 Bike Speed or Cadence Monitor mounts easily onto a bike frame. To measure speed, position the monitor on the back of the rear triangle and position the bike magnet pickup on the spoke. To measure cadence, position the monitor on the bottom of the rear triangle and position the bike magnet pickup on the crank arm. · Attach all pieces securely. Any sliding motion will affect accuracy. · The bike magnet should sweep within 3 mm of the front of the monitor housing on a path perpendicular to the top edge of the monitor. Misalignment will affect accuracy.




		DISPLAYING DATA FROM THE BKM3 BIKE SPEED OR CADENCE MONITOR

The BKM3 Bike Speed or Cadence Monitor uses Dynastream’s ANT transmit protocol to send data to an ANT-enabled sports monitoring watch (SMW1) or other ANT-enabled receiver (such as a bike computer) on the ANT+SPORT network. The BKM3 must “pair” with the receiver in order to display bike data to the user. If the BKM3 and receiver are purchased together, then they will already be paired. If not, pairing is required only for first use or after battery replacement. Consult the receiver manual for instructions on pairing the BKM3, entering wheel diameter, and displaying data.

for one year from the date of purchase. Within this period, VENDOR will at its sole option, repair or replace any components that fail in normal use. Such repairs or replacement will be made at no charge to the customer for parts or labor, provided that the customer shall be responsible for any transportation cost. VENDOR retains the exclusive right to repair or replace the unit or software or offer a full refund of the purchase price at its sole discretion. The unit should be securely packed with the tracking number clearly written on the outside of the package. The unit should then be sent, freight charges prepaid, to any VENDOR warranty center. A copy of the original invoice is required as the proof of purchase for warranty repairs. Products sold through online auctions are not eligible for rebates or other special offers from VENDOR. Online auction confirmations are not accepted for warranty verification. To obtain warranty service, an original or copy of the invoice from the original retailer is required. VENDOR will not replace missing components from any package purchased through an online auction.
